All hair cuts begin with a stress relieving treatment. A scalp massage with essential oils helps cleanse the hair and scalp. Next, a shampoo using the shampoo to match your hair and scalp conditions provides for a revitalization of the hair and scalp. Taking a moment to consult with the Client, the Designer then identifies the requirements for the day. The Style and Cut are completed with a Blow Dry Finish. Another standard at Chrysalis.
Chrysalis uses GOLDWELL® hair color from Germany. This color is known the world over for its conditioning qualities and its gentleness to the hair.
Need a couple or a headful, highlights are provided with the same remarkable GOLDWELL® Products.

Unlike any other Facial you have received, our Seven Step Custom Facial will leave you completely cleansed and refreshed. First, an analysis & consultation to discuss your particular skin needs. The cleansing process begins with one of the REN® Products best suited to your life style and skin type. Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells. Then a gentle steam is applied to help open the pores. Extractions, as required, will remove the stubborn impurities from the skin. Next, a standard at Chrysalis, a REN® mask is applied to complete the process. In the final step, a moisturizing massage, your face is refreshed with moisturizing massage complimentary to your skin type.
This experience is exclusive for all of Oklahoma to Chrysalis. An additional step is interjected into the Seven Step Custom Facial. 24 carat gold leaf is applied to the skin after the steam phase. The Gold Leaf causes the epidermis to react to the foreign object on the surface. This, in turn, stimulates collagen production and cell growth at an accelerated effect.
As you get older, your skin has a harder time turning over new skin cells, particularly on the face. The regeneration still happens, but at much slower pace than when you’re younger. Glycolic acid works as an exfoliant. Because it’s highly acidic but is also highly soluble, it goes under the damaged areas of the skin and lifts off the top layer of skin. When washed off, it leaves behind smoother skin that is also more youthful looking. Treatment areas include face, neck, upper chest, back, arms, hands, stretchmarks, body.
Utilizing only SWISS O-PAR® lash and brow color, which is formulated to not irritate. Our certified aesthetician will apply to either your lashes, brows or both, the complimenting color.
Waxing is a procedure used to temporarily remove unwanted hair. It removes hair with its roots, not just at the skin surface as with shaving. Regrowth of the hair takes 3 to 6 weeks. Treatment areas include upper lip, chin, cheeks, neck, ears, nose, chest, back, arms, hands, legs, feet.
Microdermabrasion is a fairly simple, easy, painless, non-invasive, skin rejuvenation procedure using a combination of crystals and vacuum suction applied to the skin. The vacuum pressure and speed are adjusted depending on the sensitivity and tolerance of the skin. Removal of the fine upper layers of the skin accelerates new skin cell and collagen production. Repeated microdermabrasion has been shown helpful in treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, acne, and shallow acne scars. Treatment areas include face, neck, upper chest, back, arms, hands, stretchmarks, body.
Massage therapy improves circulation by bringing oxygen and other nutrients to body tissues. It relieves muscle tension and pain, increases flexibility and mobility, and helps clear lactic acid and other waste, which reduces pain and stiffness in muscles and joints.
People get massage therapy for relaxation or for a variety of health conditions:
Back pain Inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and tendonitis Stress relief and stress-related conditions Headaches and migraines Muscle and related conditions such as spasms, strains and sprains Repetitive strain injury, such as carpal tunnel syndrome Circulatory and respiratory problems Post-injury and post surgical rehabilitation
Massage therapy relieves stress. It is thought to help the body's stress response by lowering levels of hormones such as cortisol. Massage therapy also appears to enhance immune function.
Swedish massage – also known as “Classic Massage” - uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage. The five basic strokes are effleurage (sliding or gliding), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber) and vibration/shaking. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee over a period of eight weeks.
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles).
A hot stone massage uses water-heated stones to apply pressure and heat to the body. Stones coated in oil can also be used by the therapist delivering various massaging strokes. The hot stones used are commonly Basalt stones (or lava rocks) which over time have become extremely polished and smooth. As the stones are placed along the recipient's back, they help to retain heat which then deeply penetrates into the muscles, releasing tension.
Also known as manual therapy, manipulative therapy, or manual & manipulative therapy, this is a physical treatment primarily used on the neuromusculoskeletal system to treat pain and disability. It most commonly includes kneading and manipulation of muscles, joint mobilization and joint manipulation.
Prenatal massage shares many of the goals of regular massage ¬– to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good. But it's also tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies, and our therapists who are trained in prenatal massage adjust their techniques accordingly.
